Hello and Happy Holidays!!
I hope every single one of you are enjoying the holidays like I am this year! Winter is approaching and we just overcame an ice storm this past weekend. It seriously was like an ice apocalypse here in The Big D, it was pretty cray!

I had to share that photo lol! Seriously it was crazy how empty grocery stores were getting.
I am glad that’s over… well for some.
When I think of winter, Â I think of a lot of things…. pasty skin, dry skin, chapped lips and just over all dehydration but luckily I have solutions for all of those. On the positive side, I think of family, holiday parties, glitz n glam, and fabulous makeup. I wanted to put together a blog with a bunch of my winter faves to avoid the dryness of cold weather and to enhance your natural beauty for all the festivities to come!!

Skin Care FavesÂ
1.) Rodan + Fields Micro-Dermabrasion Paste – One of my favorite products in general but I especially love this stuff during this cold weather. Since our skin tends to get dryer in the winter, it’s important to exfoliate all those dead skin cells to get that winter glow.
2.) Essentials Foaming Sunless Tan –Â Yes you will have a natural glow after getting a good exfoliation in, but this is an added oomph. It’s still very light and natural but it will give you a little more color for those holiday parties you’ll be attending. Â If you’re not into spray tanning or airbrush tanning, this is a great alternative and it looks a little more natural. Can’t be having pasty legs for those holiday cocktail dresses! he he.
3.) Evian Mineral Spray Water – Love this stuff! Regularly spritzing this water on your face contribute to better moisturization on the upper layers of the skin. Let’s stay hydrated this year! Don’t forget to drink water too though … this isn’t an alternative.
4.) Enhancements Lip Micro-Dermabrasion – This is wonderful for exfoliating and conditioning your lips! I use this 1-2 times a week. Great for having kissable New Years lips he he 😉
5.) Redefine Lip Renewing Serum. Each peptide and antioxidant-rich capsule helps lips retain natural moisture. This is perfect for winter in addition to the Lip Micro-Dermbrasion because it  smoothes lip texture and reduces the appearance of lip wrinkles. I love that in comes in capsules because sometimes I over do it with my gloss… can we say portion control? hehe
Makeup Faves
6.) Beauty Blender- I can never promote this stuff enough… I’m  thinking I should get paid for it lol! If you want the most flawless finish of foundation and concealer, then you must use the Beauty Blender!! When I turned 25, I started noticing fine lines under my eyes and the concealer wasn’t helping. I love concealer because it helps with adding more dimension, but I wanted to be able to blend it in better and the Beauty Blender has worked best for me. It’s a little pricey for some, but if you take care of it and wash it gently daily, then it will last you longer. There is no cheaper alternative that I know of… If you do know of any, please share!
7.) Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation– If you’re looking for a luminous full coverage look, this is my favorite foundation! I love the finish and I especially love it for all the holiday parties that’s to come! The color I use is Bamboo Beige. It can be a little pricey, but a great alternative at drug store price is Revlon Color Stay Whipped Creme makeup.
8.) Mac Ruby Woo– My favorite matte red lipstick. If I want it glossy, I add Mac’s Driven By Love lipgloss over it. For a great alternative, at drug store price, use Rimmel Lasting Finish Lip Stick from the Kate Moss Collection.
9.) Mac Pigment Vanilla- I use this when I go more dramatic with my makeup, but especially for the winter. It’s very frosty 🙂 I use it to highlight my cheekbones and brow bones. You can even use it to contour the bridge of your nose, if you want to give the illusion of a smaller nose. I’ve had mine for years! A little bit goes a long way with this product.
10.) Mac Fluidline Blacktrack– Ok so I use this almost every day but I love winging out my eyeliner even more with this gel liner during this time of year. To get a more precise line, use a thin angle brush. A great alternative to this gel liner is the Infallible Gel Lacquer Liner 24 Hour from L’Oreal in Blackest Black.
Hair Faves
11.) Moroccan Oil- For the holiday parties I love curling my hair but of course with the more heat and recently lightened hair, my hair has gotten a lot more dry!! 😦 But the good thing is, this oil is sooooo hydrating and it smells so good! I always put this oil in on a daily basis! A great alternative is Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Moroccan Oil!
12.)Â Babyliss BABNT125S Curling Iron, 1 1/4″ PRO Nano Titanium Spring-Â If you follow me on FB or Instagram you’ve probably seen my hair curled a lot and this is the curling iron I love! I also use Hot Tools but this is my favorite. If you know of other alternatives, that are cheaper and just as great as these please share!
13.) Kenra Volume Spray-Â Big hair don’t care! Love this spray so much!! When I curl my hair, I lightly sprits this all over. The volume stays in all evening and I love me some big TEXAS hair.
That’s all for now! If you have any winter faves, please share by commenting. Like my blog? Give me a virtual “thumbs up” by sharing my blog to your friends and family! My goal is to be more consistent with my blogs this coming year so I can share all of my secrets with you. However, please help me by asking questions below in the comments section.
Merry Christmas
